Dyno run, help needed!

Let me start by saying I am a little disappointed. However this isn't very accurate because I have no baseline dyno to compare to. It also appears that I am running slightly lean, but I have talked to X about this and we have some plans. Mods are the following.

1. 06+ TSX cams
2. P2R TBS and Gaskets
3. DCRH w/ Stock Exhaust
4. X V2 Intake

SAE Corrected

Uncorrected

good torque band though.. can the stock exhaust be hindering power? did you adjust exhaust cam gear? maybe some minor tuning is all thats needed...

I dont think the exhaust is going to help much but I plan on switching soon anyway. I was trying to keep it stockish on the outside and with the way it sounds, but it looks like I might have to throw that out.

I can't tell if you have the reflash or not...

Perhaps that makes a difference.

the exhaust would help a lot... the stock exhaust is restrictive as it is... and u have cams that's definitely stopping it from making more power...

If you're looking for a stock 'looking' exhaust, I have the Vibrant catback and painted the muffler flat black. Looks just like stock, only better because the tip isn't oval.

Can't say the same for the sound though

off topic but... IMO i haven't gotten an exhaust b/c all of the exhaust made for these cars are round... i prefer the oval...

hey nbilyue, i'd contact X about whether if the a/f ratio is suppose to be that high. I'd find out if that is normal for what he got cause i remember when he came out with the v2 intake, he posted the dyno sheets showing the gains but i guess he didn't get the a/f sheet showing the a/f for the v2. 14.5 seems kinda high from what i know. the v1 keeps the a/f steady at around 13 so, this would be sort of off unless X meant it to be that way. i would maybe redyno somewhere else and contact X. nice numbers btw.

I have contacted X we talked for a while earlier. It shouldnt be quite this high. I have the original V2 that was on his car, but we are in two very different climates. I am running a bit lean so I am not real sure what to do there. It's not anywhere near a dangerous level or anything but I would like to be under 14 throughout. We have talked about a few options, but I am not real sure what to do as of now.

To the one guy. I used to have the Vibrant the droning was just too annoying for me, however I am going to be looking to get another exhaust soon.

Agree 110%. Round exhausts look stupid when we have an oval-cutout in our bumpers.

That's disappointing how low your power is.. isn't X like ~17 whp more than you with very similiar mods?

these are the same mods as his car was when it was last dynoed. I have the maf housing that was on his car during that dyno, not one like it...the same one.

I disagree, the exhaust would make a minor difference. Stock should be sufficient....I'm not too sure why the numbers are like that, kinda odd. Maybe it was just the dyno/weather?

umm... ok let's add a higher flowing intake, cams that keep the vavles open longer, header to help the air flow out... and umm oh yeah a stock 1.83" or w.e the stock exhaust piping is... i know it's less than 2" tho... that will have no effect on his numbers... he might get sum nice torque out of it but definitely no hp numbers...

ok... ppl... i'm trying to give a reason why it's so low... WITH CAMS that lift more than the stock Z3 cams... the exhaust obviously has nothing to do with it...
