Yes, several members have been concerned about the clicking noise. This is caused by the fuel injectors. No need for concern, everything is as it should be.

it's possible that the clicking isn't your fuel injectors. Or perhaps after you installed it, you started listening to your car more carefully and you noticed the ticking sound.

If you're concerned about it, either take it to a fellow 8thcivic member who knows quite a bit about Hondas, or try taking it to a dealership. with the car running, ask one of the mechanics what the ticking noise is.

I don't know why the throttle body spacer would cause a ticking noise.

Well, I have heard mixed things. All dealerships are different. You don't want to go in an say "are my mods causing ticking noises?" because they are going to charge you to investigate. My dealership has threatened to void my warranty already because of shifter mods. Now i know that the Magnunson Moss act says that they have to prove it but dealerships dont care. You will have to pay for a lawyer (money I don't have) to take them to court to get your warranty back if they decide to be real pricks. One guy on this site kept complaining about a ticking noise. He took it in and they said it was just his injectors. Open up the hood and see if you can zero in on the nise. My guess is its coming right from the injectors. Hope that helps you out a little.

Thanks for the input. I will try to take it to a dealership (unfortunately) not the one i bought the car from, since I'm 600 miles away. I have a feeling since I'm young they will try to push me around. I am 80% sure it is the injectors.. but only 100% would satisfy me

Sounds like you have the newest one or at least the spacer that doesn't have the hole drilled the entire way through and tapped to accept the threaded plug. My black spacer (bought in March) had the threaded hole but 07_HFP_Si's red spacer (purchased in May) had what I would call a "blind" hole where it looks like the hole is partially drilled into the aluminum and not threaded. IMO P2R might be doing this because most folks won't use the hole for N2O and if you either forget to install the plug or install it in such a way as to cross thread it, etc. then you will have a vacuum leak. Those folks that are knowledgeable enough to install N2O themselves or the shop that's doing the work (This would be a "Wet Single-Point" system if I'm not mistaken) probably have access to a drill press and tap and can finish the hole as required.

heyo, i've got an aem short ram intake, and down low (around about 3k-3.5k) when i step on the pedal the car lags for about a second and a half then takes off. will a tbs fix this, worsen it, or do nothing about it?? thanks.

That is normal for an AEM filter on a stick. Actually it's kind of normal for any intake that doesn't incorporate the stock MAF housing with the vanes in it. Good luck trying to get that to stop.

It shouldn't matter who you go through.. p2r is the most common bought.. and is a good product. Just a preference of which site you want to give your money to :P
