MrKaz, I don't have a CAI, but as I stated in the DIY the throttle body spacer will cause the CAI tube to rub against the radiator hose.

you can get a different hose and re-route your coolant line (which is a PITA) or you can get a drink "cozy' and modify it w/zipties to seperate the CAI from the hose.

I'm fairly certain that the drink cozy is NOT a good long-term fix.

i think its worth the money. it has proven gains and with the Xintake there are no fitment issues.

I went back and noted this in my FAQ.

I just installed them. I noticed a gain right away. The throttle response is way better and I kind of like the little wistle noise I get around 4000 RPM. hehe. And like was just said it works great with the Xintake.

Do they make one for the R18? or are they interchangable?

lmao... this has proved more beneficial than getting anything that u listed above for the price...

sorry if the owner of P2R doesn't have time to help u out when he has other things to do... that's why he doesn't really sell too much directly but would rather sell to other companies to sell his parts... less headaches for him...

i know the guy personally and he's very busy most of the time working on different projects etc... i am in no way trying to defend him but just giving some insight to the sellers point of view...

this should be noted that they do not make it for the R18 b/c that motor uses round gaskets or something to that effect... i will ask P2R for more info on that...

Also, I think, though you have to ask Greg or Tony, but the P2R bumps you to STX from stock (FA5) if you're not already with the stock LSD (still in question). I know for a fact that you will be bumped out of the stock classes to SM class if you do anything past the throttle body. That's all I know though

That's where we get spanked by EVOs and STIs. But I'm still gonna do it, maybe lower the reflash... sorry about the threadjack!

i know it was a joke question... but i'm sure sum1 is prolly thinking it...

my guess would be that u would actually lose power... think about sum1 porting their manifold too big or head too much... etc... unless u have some cams or some type of tuning it will hurt more than help right now...

I was Joking. But after I typed it I was seriously thinking about it but I came to the same conclusion as you did. It wouldn't work.

Great write up. One quick thing, I have an AEM SRI, and the TBS fits with it. It is a snug fit, but it does fit. The only thing is that the Radiator hose is basically against the intake pipe, but that is how it is even without the TBS installed, wrap it and you're fine.
