civic si downpipe

is the only difference between the si and rsx exhaust header the little turn at the end? if this is true wouldn't it be easy to just cut an rsx downpipe and weld it to make it straight enough to work for the si? Because 50 buck for a downpipe beats 300 for a RH if you only want to eliminate the cat.

if that were the case, wouldn't it be alot easier to just use the rsx header!

The stock downpipe is not as simple as it looks. It's actually a 4-2-1 setup, the header is the 4-2, and then the down pipe is the 2-1 section. I was dead-set on making my own catless downpipe unitll I took that fugger off and saw this:

Thats what the header dumps into.
Just get a race header and be done with it.
