Yea our cars come stock w/ a header. Its a tiny little guy but none the less a header. I'm curious how much gains this would make. Dont think it'd do much tho.

ya like i said i will see in the spring. Comptech always claims that when their products are used together (header, exhaust, and intake)is when u will get noticable gains. so it wasnt that expensive and im still undecided on what direction im going to take, so if its not what i want i will change it. just at the moment, i knew i didnt want a race header. thanks for the compliments/criticism everyone.

Shorter runners less bends and no turbulance do to that acorn thing on the end of the stock header. It just flows better but mainly designed for the Comptech SC. Like I've heard in car shows before, the more/better way you put air in and take it out the more power you get.

Nice, I just remembered a cat isn't going to void your warranty because I doubt that it would cause something to go wrong! As for my setup, it's now custom 2.5" midpipe and no resonators, with stock Si muffler. I plan to get a shorty header with custom downpipe and high-flow cat, then HFP Exhaust. So it'll be probably a complete 2.5" headerback, OR i'll have a larger downpipe (3") then 2.5" the rest of the way back. It'll add some power, especially with my intake

So thats the RSX-S header right?

It does look nice tho. Better than stock. The stock collector looks like a bowl or some sh1t i dunno who designed that one lol.

this is the comptech shorty header that a lot of members here rag on so much because they think our stock header is just as good, which it isn't. hopefully nomar's pictures cleared all of that up.

actually, that catalytic converter-like thing you see in some of Nomar's pictures (next to the R/T cat) is a smaller version of the Planet Destroyer from Star Trek: TOS.

You won't see much hp gain on just the Comptech shorty header without getting a catback exhaust or high flow cat like the Random Tech. So if you choose to go that route it is best to do one of the two above mods with it or both.

I have the Random Tech cats in stock if you need one.

Would there be any difference between the Vibrant racing header that comes w/cat and the Comptech w/ RT cat.
