well they wont sell you the mugen SI springs, they will sell you the entire coilover *IF* anything. just because one person said they can, doesnt mean they actually will. chances are it will be difficult for them to order if most the rumors about parts are true. dont get your hopes up. also, expect it to be at least $1500.

what are you looking to do? drop teh car low? or actaully take fast turns and maybe go to a track?
the mugen suspension is designed for a 4dr, not a 2dr, so it right away it wont be the exact same performance.for the money difference, i would say the HFP if you wanted it for tracking.
if you wanted it for looks, maybe buddy club, or tein.
unless you want a better dampener you can get tokico struts and a mild lowering spring.

Eh looks and performance too. More towards performance. HFP is prob the best idea like you said, but it's $595, so I'll either wait for a used set or buy a new one when I have the $$

So the Mugen Si comes with the Mugen full catback, I thought it was just an axleback?

EDIT: It does appear as if Honda advertises it as a catback, huh thats nice.

From King Motorsports:

1.8.2008

UPDATE: 06-07 Civic Si Coupe Mugen cat-back exhaust fitment
Initial test fitting of the Mugen exhaust has been completed on the
USDM Civic Si Coupe. Unfortunately the Mugen cat-back exhaust will not
fit the Si Coupe due to the following differences on USDM spec Si: The
rear muffler on the JDM spec car uses two exhaust hangars whereas the
USDM spec car uses only one, and secondly, the length of the USDM
catalytic converter is several inches shorter than the JDM spec
catalytic converter. We do not see any cost effective simple solutions
to modifying the exhaust to fit at this time. Next up is test fitting on
a USDM Si 4 door. Results to follow shortly.

That update refers only to the type-r mugen exhaust available at king motorsports. but there is a full cat back exhaust on the us mugen si. you can order it through a honda dealer, but the vin is required for the order. i work at a dealer and worked with one of the parts guys and found this out the hard way when i went to order th mugen shift knob. i guess they are trying to stop people from building there own mugen si cause they want to keep the cars rare or whatever there reasoning. anyway the knob is back ordered along with other parts... i did see the short shifter was in stock... it is a complete replacement shifter not an adapter like most companies. cost is about $150, thats before markup. cost of full catback exhaust is $1050. so figure a few hundred more for dealer markup. but you better write down a vin the next time you see one.

those doush bags at my dealer near me told me that mugen quick shifter was 300 bucks. I guess they were trying to rip me off. I passed on it. Hey ragingrhino, if I gave you my VIN to my mugen, could you get that QS at that price of 150?

I think that my cost is going to be aroun $230... so $300 after dealer markup sounds about right. i just tried to order one today and the honda parts catalog wont release any from the wharehouse (even though there is 89 out there) because of uncompleted research and developement... ill update when they are even available and ill get with my parts guy to see about a price for other members.
