V2 AFR is pretty unique, it leans up on the TSX cams at around 4100 then goes alot richer than V1 for a reason... to bring the AFR back down to safe AFR's with cars that are camed with the 06 TSX camshafts.

With X's intake, do you lose the throttle lag that's there in the low rpm's?

No that's the point of him making it.

pm xfactorwrx, he post just above mine almost in this thread. it's 300 shipped but it is the best intake on the Si market without a doubt. You can also search for "all threads started by this user" in this public profile to see all threads he has started about the x intake.

All i can base this on is that i had the stock airbox gutted and smoothed out with a K&N filter... i noticed no gains at all, maybe a touch louder but no gains from stock.

Then i installed my greddy SP2, again, zero changes i could tell / feel.

Then this, it's like a whole new car! Again, i did drive it in very cold weather so that could help, but i still imagine this intake making tons of power in normal warm weather as well. Today is supposed to be in the 40's. so i'll go rip it again!

Wow, that was incredibly informative. Thank you for that jem of wisdom. Even though I've kept up with most of the X threads, I doubt X's sole reason for making this intake was to keep the throttle lag.

Yeah it was. He was tired of heat soak from the SRI and throttle lag from other intakes so he wanted to make an intake with all range gains, and direct throttle response. You asked a question and got an answer, no need to be a dick about it, I didn't realize you wanted someone to write a whole paragraph about it.

I'm not being a dick about it. Now you're giving a completely different answer to my original question. That's what I wanted to know about it: that his intake DID eliminate the throttle lag in the low rpm's (I had thought that I read that it did, but wasn't sure). I've never given anybody a hard time on this site, and don't intend to, but reread what you wrote, and think about how I misinterpreted what you were saying. I do appreciate your helping though, and giving the info I needed.

yes, there is no lag in any RPM ranges as i stated in my review. I think king meant that it DID eliminate the lag. The car drives exactly like stock, but with tons of more power.

stop e-fighting.

Thanks Blue, and King, for helping. I guess we both could have worded things a little better.

I'll get it sooner or later because I'm fed up with my Fujita, but Christmas is coming up, and sadly enough I have to buy my family presents.

The gasket AND spacer is about 3whp, dyno proven. the x intake is going to be way more than that, in the 12whp range. Sell the intake, don't get the gasket and BAM close to 300 bucks for 12whp.

(Do what you want, i'm just giving you an alternate route you could take.)

Love it! install was cake and the new feel is much improved, it takes a touch more effort to get it into the gears but for the shorter shift distance and the more positive shifts it's worth it.
