I bought the reflash from a friend who has an 07, he blew his motor and needed to sell it so i bought it from him. Having done so, my rpm's don't hang anymore, cus supposedly they fixed that problem with the 07 models. But the lag...apparently they didn't fix that.

That is correct!!! All honda motors are the same way...an h22, b16, b18, until its over 4500 rpm its a dog...unless you have lag at 7000 rpm's there is no problem

torque?! you must be noobies, go drive a car with drive-by-cable and you'll know what i'm talking about. the only reason why you do feel the "lag" that YOU'RE talking about in b series and h series motors is because they make less power and torque to begin with. 06 si's are faster and thats why you think the b and h series have that "lag"

Why is everyone hatin on the DBW? Course i'm sure ppl out there hated fuel injection when it first came. I seriously wouldnt' doubt if there were forums back then youd have a bunch of "fuel injection = lag" threads. Then there would be a thread on someone converted to a carb.

Abarab is right.

I've driven incredibly underpowered, manual, old, POS Saturns and Kias with cable throttles that have an immediate throttle response.

It isn't the lack of torque. If those cars can respond when you press the throttle then so should ours.

Tastycakes this isn't about hating on drive by wire. This is about hating on our car's LAG because of how our drive by wire is. There are plenty of drive by wire Hondas that don't have that stupid throttle lag we have and actually respond when the throttle is pressed.

The lag in response was to make the vehicle more responsive at higher rpms because of it's low torque output. Some guy told me it makes it easier to drive. I don't know what he was talking about. I went with the hondata.

Sure everyone fears change however the dbw is hated by the tuner community becuase nobody has been able to bring out an ECU to run with the dbw. Meaning no Kpro no way of actually being able to tune your car. Im sure eventually something will be done and the whole dbw will be a distant memory but for now

Throw in some pulleys and some of that lag disappears. I can dip in mines with no lag.
