torque?! you must be noobies, go drive a car with drive-by-cable and you'll know what i'm talking about. the only reason why you do feel the "lag" that YOU'RE talking about in b series and h series motors is because they make less power and torque to begin with. 06 si's are faster and thats why you think the b and h series have that "lag"

Why is everyone hatin on the DBW? Course i'm sure ppl out there hated fuel injection when it first came. I seriously wouldnt' doubt if there were forums back then youd have a bunch of "fuel injection = lag" threads. Then there would be a thread on someone converted to a carb.

Abarab is right.
I've driven incredibly underpowered, manual, old, POS Saturns and Kias with cable throttles that have an immediate throttle response. It isn't the lack of torque. If those cars can respond when you press the throttle then so should ours. Tastycakes this isn't about hating on drive by wire. This is about hating on our car's LAG because of how our drive by wire is. There are plenty of drive by wire Hondas that don't have that stupid throttle lag we have and actually respond when the throttle is pressed. Last edited by friedk; 11-14-2007 at 05:09 AM. |

The lag in response was to make the vehicle more responsive at higher rpms because of it's low torque output. Some guy told me it makes it easier to drive. I don't know what he was talking about. I went with the hondata.

no lag to speak of in my 06, well no noticable lag imo. my mom's 06 honda accord has lag like there is no ******* tomorrow though. it has dbw and **** is so slow, i can seriously quickly step on the gas and let go and the motor won't react until my foot is alread off the pedal.
