cheap or expensive parts dont matter it just feels good working on ur car and doing something different. there is nothing wrong with tuning ur car to keep a good performance. both fg's are great cars but if great speed is ur goal you got urself the wrong car. the k20 is faster than r18 but u can only go so far in speed with this cars. so whenever u top ur speed what do u do, get a faster car? swap engine? so why dont just get a lambo in the first place oh yeah can't afford it.
same thing as if u were saying why did u get the fg1 u should of bought an fg2 because is faster. (this is just a thought for the people making fun of small projects like this) anyways good job and good luck with ur car

Mother ******.... What's with all this bashing on how "Cheap" the OP is?
He tried something different, and to my knowledge, no different from X. The guy is experimenting so why waste tons of money for nothing when essentially he is in the "research and development" stage. Keep doing what your doing dude and be the next X for us R18ers... |

This guy bought a cheap autozone rice isle air filter, although K&N filters are readily available, cut the stock MAF housing out of his air box and modified his air box lid so he can fit his butt dyno proven intake into the stock air box. |
