the apexi power intake (as posted above) will work nicely. my friend is on it now and i hear good things.

for me, i swapped the original injen filter for a k&n rx-4730. works wonders for the mid and high range.

I have done a ton of research on this cause I had the same question. There are a lot of tests out there that follow this "ISO" test procedure that measure flow, filtration abilities, and flow vs. how much dirt has accumlated.

In some tests done in Japan, the Apexi comes out on top in terms of both filtration and flow. However, I remember that test not following the ISO procedure and not presenting any graphs/whatever as proof.

I did find one interesting thing though: On AEM's website there is a link in the DryFlow section to their ISO test. They tested against K&N and Injen and one other I think. Basically, the K&N flowed the best according to their tests!! The pressure drop was the LEAST out of all on the K&N as air velocity increased. BUT, the K&N did have to get dirty to filter as advertised, and even then it wasn't as good as the AEM at keeping dirt out of the engine. The AEM filtered by far the best (like an OEM filter would). The Injen one sucked it hard in terms of filtration and wasn't that great on flow.

Basically, I would recommend the AEM and that's what I have. Although the K&N flows better per square inch of filter material, the AEM 3" filter has more than enough filter material for even an upgrade Si.

I wish I could fin the AEM link. It seems they've taken it down.

You should just buy the filter cleaner.

Another suggestion I would say is the AEM dryflow filter. All you have to do is just wash it and let it dry. You never have to reoil it.

Hey Type

If you still have the manual it will tell you the size of filter you need or you can go to the Injen website it will tell ya there as well. I have changed mine already as you know. I am getting a cleaning kit for the filter I have now so I don’t have to buy a new one every year.

Should be a 3.5 thats the basic size, easy enough to measure, also keep in mind to long will cause to much pull resulting in a rob of power due to the mass air flow sensor kicking down the rate making a vetec useless because the sensor will think there is to much air I have had both the K&N and the Fujita I favor the Fujita short ram you can make a heat sheild easy enough out of some sheet metal and do the edges with door trim for a clean look hear on the east coast we have to be a little more cautious about the hydro lock issue because we tend to get some road flooding problems so the short ram is the way to go if it's a concern. with a mugen ecu chip complete exaust header back and the intake along with a throtle body spacer I have my 07 si sedan pushin almost 270 horsey's now next step is a Bremro 12.9 kit to help stop it honda failed on the cars braking thats for sure.
