BCRH installed yesterday with defouler... but

Hey all,

I installed the BCRH w/ angled defouler yesterday and everything was alright. But today the CEL came on.

Any ideas? I'll have to wait until next saturday to take it back to the shop that installed it but was wondering if anyone had any insights on this.

Going to reset my ECU again now.

Thanks...

You are the second guy that I've seen have this problem. We never did find out what was causing the last guy's CEL. Did they put the defouler on the right O2 sensor?

Nope the de-fouler goes on the seondary 02 sensor. Forgive me I've been drinking all day but it goes into the one on the test-pipe bung.

I just reset my ecu and am letting it idle as we speak. I took the MAF sensor out put it back in also. The CEL is gone now.

The defouler is in the correct 02 sensor.

Let's wait and see if it comes back on.

Besides making it compliant with emissions, does adding a magnaflow high flow cat in place of the bcrh mid pipe add hp as well? There are different size hfc piping, does adding the 3 inch pipe size make it necessarily better?

I don't think there will be that much of a difference in power between the test-pipe & HFC.

I agree. I'm about to buy a BCRH and I wanted some user experiences first.
