Basically, if you do NOT own an SI - this is the only exhaust you need to consider.

I installed cat back on my 07 Civic EX 5 speed today. Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust.

Pics:

Video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HqPgcODtXY

Review:

Watch the video, look at the photos... quality, fit, finish, sound all speak for themselves - Flawless. Perfect. Stealthy. Classy. Silent Performance.

Fit and Finish: 10 out of 10, the muffler is something you want to put in a glass case and show to your buddies because it looks that good. The exhaust hangs dead center and doesn't touch anything under the car. The flanges were welded perfectly, in the correct loctions to make hanging the exhaust by myself with a 14mm wrench in my back yard after being awake for 24 hours a piece of cake.

Sound quality: Listen to that..... no buzz, no rasp, no coffe can sillyness, none of that police attention! nice evil growl, virtually NO highway drone, and in the higher rpms you hear more intake than exhaust so you know this is stealthy. Translation = no tickets.

Price: $595.00 shipped from corsport, you can't go wrong. They ship lightening fast, the price is unbeatible for the quality.. highly recomended.

If you drive an LX DX or EX 06+ civic, look no further, this is the one for you if you're not looking to win a high Db competition with your straight through exhaust.

Right on man!

BUT.... please get a video of you driving away.... I don't understand these videos that have the camera 2 ft away from the camera. It makes my 12" sub shake the whole house lmfao.

Yeah, a drive-by video would be good. Look good though, sounds pretty mean.

Looks good.

Did you change the exhaust with the ramp on the grass?

there used to be a garage back there, so the grounds all concrete :) grass is covering the slab, but yes i changed it out on top of that grass. Actually, I did most of it, with the car not on ramps at all, me and my cut up arms from reaching under the car to turn the wrench, and remove the exhaust from the hangers haha.

silicon spray makes short work of removing exhaust from hangers and putting the new one one, its nice and slick for a couple minutes then it dries up and is gone.

definite power increase, 3'rd gear downshift at 70 mph now pulls hard uphills where-as the car used to get louder, and not accelerate at all shifting down into 3rd. It's definitly moving significantly quicker now in the mid to top end, and all the gears feel better overall.

This is your chance to get this performance exhaust for less!
Hmmm...

I believe it is quiet too. Only a bit louder than the SI exhaust. I wanted this exhaust but I had my eyes set on the Greddy Ti-C already. I love the look and sound of the Ti-C. The tanabe would be a perfect stock replacement for those who don't want a loud exhaust.

sucks. I sanded mine three times, and then melted it slightly with a mapp gas torch to get it nice and smooth again.

Great review. I agree, the exahust looks good and sounds decent considering it's coming from an N/A four cylinder, and a Honda at that. Most Hondas with exahusts sound like garbage to me, but seems like you made a good choice.
