race headers (favorites around here seem to be dc and buddy club) get you the most bang for the buck, but if you want to keep the cat, get the vibrant combo. personally, i'm thinkin about gettin the vibrant combo for emissions testing reasons.

as for the warranty, modifying your car will put you at risk for losing it especially if you're gettin rid of the cat. there are some threads on this already.

Well...as long as they don't do a sniffer test and you don't have a CEL you will be ok.

I have a Buddy Club Race Header and also am a Lisenced NYS Inspector I cant speak for other sates but for the section i live in, the Emissions part SHOULDNT be an issue if you use a defouler when installing the second O2 Sensor back in where it would normallly plug into the cat, b/c it "tricks" your car into thinking your getting proper readings. Now atleast where im if i didnt do my own inspections i would fail the safety check part due to me being catless (but i'll let you in on a little secret......im not gonna fail my own car ) No Check Engine for me yet and im still running her

You'll need to install a 90 degree bend in the defouler once you get the BCRH. I testfit the defouler without the 90 degree bend & the wires were touching the heatshield. I bought a 3/8" "street" 90 & had the female end drilled & tapped to fit the second de-fouler for the seconday 02 sensor to plug in to. Total cost was about $7 compared to $30 for the Strutking angled defouler.

Im rocking a Megan STRAIGHT O2 Sensor defouler not the 90 degree bend, with ZERO problems or clearance issues what so ever. Works like a charm .....Just to be safe tho I'd probably pick up a 90 just to be on the safe side. One car is different from the next, I've done 2 header installs and each time was different ways of doing it, where one would work on one but NOT the other. So better be safe then sorry i say

i'd really like to get the race header, but feel like being more careful for the emissions test. i want the high flow cat combo, but my state does the tailpipe test...would they be able to detect a high flow cat from that?
