Question DCRH+DC cat back+Hondata reflash & IMG=surprising results

So i set up an 8thcivic dyno day at Bristol Dyno in East Hartfort, CT. Thanks Jonathan for having us out. There were a total of 11 cars that went on the dyno. I was a little surprised with my results and I'm looking for some input. Here are a few graphs each displaying something different so please look closely.

this first one is both my car. red=AEM SRI, Skunk2 7mm cat back. dynoed last March-3/07. all other dynos are from yesterday-9/15/07

blue=DCRH, DC cat back, Hondata reflash & IMG

I did see the midrange gains that Hondata claimed I wold and then some.

this next one is my car in blue and Eric's car in red. Eric's mods are SSR header, Vibrant cat back, Injen SRI, P2R spacer & gaskets. 3rd gear runs.

same run as above with conditions...

her's the same 2 cars in 4th gear. first graph shows mph speed and the one below, the rpm speed...

After looking at these graphs, I'm hoping someone can tell me why Eric and I are not hitting the 205-215whp that others are showing and or claiming with these same mods. Thanks to anyone that can help with this...

I should also note that all the other cars that were dynoed were on the mark with their numbers for their mods.

Well are all of them run with the SAE corrected numbers... no way of really telling i would have made 197hp uncorrected but i made 189 corrected

One thing i have noticed is that every sheet I've seen on 8th that is SAE corrected is less than 200 or right at 200....I see Mustang Dynos saying 210 and others I don't see any correction weather its SAE or other

good point Paul. i'm gonna do some more research and maybe see what happens on a different dyno. but a 5hp difference is not much. i gained a boatload in the midrange...

You hit it on the head. This difference was much more noticeable with the small displacement american cars of the 60s to 90s. I have seen 20% difference between same model stock small block chevy and fords.
About 3 years ago I dynoed 100WHP (stop laughing) with intake, axelback and some "tuneing". Almost no other D17a1 has done that and a lot of a2s can't either.
What your looking at is a couple of percent?????????????????

It looks to me DCRH shows same gains to the SSR. I would think after tuning
it will be a diff. story. But for now I'm glad I dident go BCRH.Try a CAI?
I wouldent think that would get you 15 hp but it might get you 5 and that
would get you over 200.IMO I think the ECU has a "wall" it will not let you over no matter how well the K20Z3 breathes.

We had a fellow member pull 197 that day with just Fugita sri,PR2 spacer and custom 3'' piping from the header to the stock axelback with no resonator so bigger piping would have helped. I wanted to swap my skunk2 on 2 Jordans car i think his numbers would have jumped a little.

he also had the DCRH Will. and you are correct bro. a larger exhaust is what i need in order to see higher #'s, however i'm not willing to put up with the noise a larger exhaust would create. i'm pleased with my numbers.
