Installation

First off I want to give props to Tai and Remmy for getting my RH shipped out the same day i ordered! Anyways, I have a quote from mahdavi Motorsports here in GA to install the header for $175 does this sound about right? I have very limited car mechanic knowledge so thats why I was thinking of having it installed, I was thinking about letting the install the TWM SS and bushings aswell but i think this could be done easily by myself!

Josh

do it yourself.there are a few d.i.y on here and some on fgcoupe.com.It shouldnt take you more than an 1 1/2 hours. As far as the bushings go I have never done those so im not sure but it cant be that hard .Save the money and by yourself a ETD.

the header is pretty easy to install, save you money and do it yourself.

The the SS takes all of 15-20 minutes to install VERY easy

Yes the Torque Damper = ETD. The instructions are pretty well written and it's really hard to screw something up. I didn't have a torque wrench and still was able to do it. There are a ton of threads on it if you want more info.

A racing header is not easy to install if you don't have the right tools and a lift. If you do not have access to lift don't even waste your time. You have to take peoples opinions on here with a grain of salt. Something that may be 'easy' for a service technician doesn't mean it is easy for the average Joe who only has a ratchet set, a driver and a car port. People like to say many installs are easy so they can portray some sort of competence. $175.00 is a reasonable price to install.

i love my twm shifter cable bushings. i got the ss, base bushings , and cable bushings. just the cable bushings alone make a big difference, took me maybe 10 min or less. jus make sure you keep the stock bushings. if u need to take it in for tranny problems, put the stock one back in

Im an avergae joe and I installed my own header with a ratchet set and some jack stands.Almost every aftermarket part that is out for the Si can be installed in your garage with regular hands tools.
