Please help me with my car build.....

Hello, I have a 06 civic SI K20z3 (canadian) And I was going to dump a bunch of cash into my car in a week or so when I come home from Iraq. Here is a list of parts I plan to start off with. Any thoughts and opinions would be very welcome. I am the first to admit that I dont know as much as I should but I want to lern from people who do.

Extreme Dimensions GT Competition Body Kit

Anzo USA 2006-2007 Civic Black Projector Headlights
(JDM Black)

Anzo USA 2006-2007 Civic Black & Carbon Tail Lights
(JDM Black)

Injen Cold Air Intake
Color: Polished
(Uses MR Technology) <--- What is this?

DC Sports Race Headers
(4-2-1, One Piece)

Dorman O2 Sensor CEL Eliminator

DC Sports Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems
(Header-Back System)

H&R Sport Springs
(1.5" Lowering Range)

Skunk2 Rear Camber Kit
(Hard Anodized)

Ingalls Engine Torque Damper

Ingalls Front Camber Adjusting Bolts
(0" to 1.5" Lowering Range)

GReddy Radiator Cap

FAL / Flex-a-lite Oil Cooler Kit

I also plan to do internals but I dont know much about them so i havnt picked any out. After all these parts i still have about 5000 to play with so if you have any ideas let me know. I want to mess with my ECU but I have been unable to find anything or any help with my particular motor being as its canadian.
Cheers,
Shawn

Lucky you, guess you have no smog laws there. Based on what I have been reading a lot of guys are steering clear of the dc header because of quality issues. Like I say, I can't say for myself but the comments I've read would make me go for the bc instead. Also best sounding clip I have heard was with a bc header and skunkII 70mm, too loud for me (I went 60mm) but awsome sounding. I'm sure you will get lots of good comments and info for your upgrades along with the usual search is your fiend statements. Good luck and thanks for serving in the armed forces. What branch are you in? I did 4 years in the A.F. 1989 to 93.

Cheers Flyboy!

Im in the Army, I am an Airborne Infantryman. Anyhow about he Smog yes I have swindled that very well. Because I am in the army in Seattle (Smog hateing hippies) I have my home of record and my car registration in BFE Utah. They dont require anything because the country I am in has a special hotrod show and what not and I have firends that will pass my inspection reguardless of my cat and whatever else. Not to mention cops dont mess with military as much. At least you get something for getting blown up eh?

As far as the DC headers and exaust I picked them for the price and the ease of them bolting together well. I was looking at the new BC headers but I havnt read much about them that makes the price justifiable. Thanx for the heads up on the DC ones though perhaps I will rethink it. I dont want my car to be too loud that just draws atention. I am just after proformance.
Thanx back for your service and keep your head in the blue!
Cheers!

You will need 2 sets of camber bolts for the front.
I have the skunk2 camber kit for the rear.Love them.
With this stuff and an alignment (-1.5 front camber -1.0 rear camber)
You will have sweet cornering!!!!!!
Your CAI,header, catback will help your K20Z3 breath better.
For price its good to go.
Im dooen the body kit last because for a little bit more money
I can go stage 1 super charger with 250+HP at the wheels!
First I want to be fast then look fast!
I have mods as follows: Ingen CAI
DC header (Inslall to day!!!)
2.5 cat back
2 set camber bolts (F) -1.5 camber
skunk2 camber kit (R) -1.0 camber
Hondata Reflash (If you go Super Charger no need)
NST pullys (If going S/C no need)
P2R spacer (If going S/C dont know if it will help
but easy on and off and cheep)
I have many more mods but these are some of the basices.
Next I will be goin for bigger brakes.(Goen fast need to stop fast!!)
Ok lets see.... breathing of K20Z3......check
suspention I need to add a sway bar but.....check
braking ......well thats my next prodject (saven up!)
Then the super charger......Oh Yes!(in a year or 2)
All the "cosmetic" stuff can wait I would like a body kit,wheels,Navi.....
but Im aim'en for performence first the Si looks Rage'en enuff for now
Good luck and thanks for your service!!!!
I was in the 101st. air.Inf (Death from above!!!)5 yrs. One of my best moves
in my life.I know I dont have to tell you this but dont hang out with Leggs. j/k

How many years are you planning to keep the car? If you aren't going to keep it for a LONG time don't pour that much money into it. It's value goes down every day. I know you don't want to hear this but if you put all that money in a good growth stock mutual fund and enjoyed your already good car as is for several years you might have enough growth to pay cash for the next one.

Cheers and AIRBORNE! I have no choice im in a mec unit now ;( The Strykers are great though. Any how thanx for the on the rear camber! I havnt seen alot about them I am glad they are good. My brother Has a machine shop so I was going to go all motor. And after reading all the threads that mention the reflash it seems like the way to go. I plan to keep this car a long time and I am just getting off a 15 month deployment. I have cash invested but this is my hobby, baby, and my present to myself for not getting killed. Thanx for looking out though.
Cheers!

First of all Respects to our Army friend!
Do what you love doing and love it while doing it!
Ok man..i'm going to give you a somewhat of a route to follow if it sounds good.
1. Get a Cold Air Intake - I prefer Injen.
2. Get an Exhaust - I prefer 70mm Skunk2
3. Get headers - I prefer Buddy Club (If you have these 3, you're gonna be loud as fu*k =)))
4. If you've got money, just order the Greddy Turbo kit for $3gs.
5. If no turbo, get 1,2,3 done, go with some exterior looks. Tints.
6. Get springs, or full suspension kit to drop your car. (I prefer Tein suspension kit or just the Tein S-Tech Springs)
7. I like the HFP body kit and the rims.
8. IF you don't have already get Fog lights..This should've been after 1,2,3.
9. You can get those JDM lights you've listed. Get them from Ebay..way cheaper there.

Overall, I see that you've been looking at parts from procivic.com
=) here are some ideas for you man.

What are you wanting out of your car? Are you wanting performance? Looks? Something in between? In the few suggestions in this thread (including yours) I haven't seen hide nor hair of a Hondata ECU reflash. That's pretty much a necessity if you want the most out of your Intake/Header/Exhaust. Personally though, forget the Intake (or do a filter and/or Poorman's Icebox mod), and just get a header and exhaust. Most would even say just the header is fine, as the exhaust is pretty good already.

Edit: Make that one person who has said it, whoops.

Wow this thread just got alot of love... As far as the reflash I did mention it "well the ECU at least" and I am definatly getting it. I have pleanty on cash but I want to go all motor (So no turbo for now because I have a long commute). I want a nice looking car that I can pick up girls with however, I want to build the motor too "wouldnt wana be one of those clowns with a nice bodykit and a tip". I have built cars with my brother "all hondas" but he is the real expert. Speaking of witch Is there a place to hook up a rear strut bar? Would it be a bad idea to get a front without getting a rear? Yeh I used the parts of procivic.com is that site pretty good or no? As far as the oil cooler goes I added it when I was considering the turbo kit and just kept it because your oil can never be too cool can it?

hehe. wouldn't mind you getting TolgaSI[TURK] as a decal =)
Start with Intake, Exhaust, Headers, and Reflash..
you should be spanking decent cars with those mods.
Want chicks ehhh?
Hook up a nice stereo system, tint your windows, lower your car and always keep it clean!!

And im back....

So I am going do do it peice by peice... I got my my Fujita SRI and ordered the last run of the DCRH's "hope they dont crack" and a custom 2.5in Cat back. I put the intake on tonight and it surprised me. I never got gains like that off my B16 when I was in high school. I am waiting on the exhaust and headers to get here. My question is can I put a HFCC on with the DCRH's? Anyone who has installed the DC headers and a 2.5in exhaust let me know. I am praying for the two to bolt up well. What do you all suggest for a next step? I was thinking 18in wheels and full coilovers. Other than that would it be better to get NOS or go for the reflash?

If I were you, I'd ditch the DCRH (I know it's already ordered), and get the Vibrant rh w/ high flow cat. It's built a lot better than the DC, and already has a hfc attached (that's what I'm running). If money's still no issue, I'd replace the Fujita sri (also what I'm running), and get the X Intake when Corsport starts to sell them in Feb. So far, it makes the most power of ANY intake on the market. As far as coilovers go, from everything that I've read from the suspension gurus of the 8th, there really aren't that many great kits out that they would suggest. Your best bet is to buy the HFP suspension, or wait for the Koni yellows to come out like everybody else. Wish I had all that extra cash to dump into my car.

Yes it can. If you get an oil cooler kit, make sure that you also get a 180 degree thermostat.
