anyone have race headers here in ca? - Page 2

why not go the HFC route, yeah you may loose a few HP, but at least you won't have to worry about it.

im in jersey and i havent had the cops notice my car smelling weird and pulling me over for it. if there is a cop behind you just dont floor it.. drive low rpm or go in neutral and coast.

I'm in socal with RH and a ninja cat in case they do a visual inspection...

ive had a header on 2 of my cars, so for about 4 years now and never had a problem.

i was in the car with my friend once ( he had a DSM that was really loud) and the cop asked if he had anything illegal like a CAI or a header and my friend just said no, just the catback (which was the truth) and the cop just said OK and let him go didnt check or anything

i plan on maybe welding a HFC to my Evo2 just for piece of mind

just got pulled over the other day for my exhaust. he had me pop my hood noticed the aem intake my valve cover but he failed to see my BCRH i just love how our motors are tucked so far back... hahah damn pigs leave us alone

I can understand the Header being illegal... but why would a CAI or exhaust (pending you have the cat) be illegal?

This is assuming the above would pass emissions.

Hmm...I dont have a cat. Would I get harrassed if I drive to cali to visit family? I've never really smelled the back of my car yet.
