Fujita and MAF sensor install

How deep does the MAF sensor need to sink into the pipe? Does anyone have some close pics? I am having trouble getting it as "deep" as I would like into the intake. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It should bolt right up with no problems. It shouldn't touch the other side of the pipe. Maybe around the middle of the pipe the plastic part might end.
