K20A type R swap in 2007 LX UPDATED with pics and vid

This post is an addition to my original post about the K20A type R swap into my 2007 Civic LX. You will find two links below this paragraph.

For those of you who previously read my old post. I would just like to clarify the reason I received 5,000 off of my brand new LX. It sustained minor hail damage in february and I bought it beginning of March which I then had a friend at Maaco fix it up nice. As I mentioned before, This car turns heads as I'm Vteckin down the streets. Some people were under the impression that it was not running; well.. This beauty is alive and running. This entire job took just about 5 months. 5 months of not having a car really turned into a pain.
This work was done by JE Import Performance. I highly recommend this shop. They can do the impossible there.

The first link will provide you with good pictures of what you need to see. The second link is a youtube video of it started up.

Props! Glad to see pics and a video, proved us wrong :)

Still think it's impractical, but no doubt badass!

I only have the one video of me reving the engine up. I will attempt to make a video of me doing a flyby or a video inside the car driving.

Just to add, I am taking the car back to JE Import Performance within a couple days to have a full exhaust system put on. I've deceided to go with the DC sports all in one race header and currently deceiding on which catback to use.

Yeah this would have been way to complex for me to have done on my own.
It took the shop 4 1/2 months. It probably would have taken me over a year to do.

I really need to get a Kpro in this setup. It would run so much better with it.

yeah you and everyone else... the only way to get Kpro on it now is to get rid of the DBW... if that's not an option for you then you have to wait like all us SI owners...

JE import performance used an 06 SI ECU and did the hondata reflash with that. These guys are great, they get the impossible done. I still dont understand how they were able to get this setup running with an 06 SI ECU on a type R MOTOR.

This thought has crossed my mind so many times. I may consider getting rid of the DBW system so that I can run Kpro right away and then just revert back when they come out with something for this car. I know this engine is just begging for the kpro.

all u need is the wire harness.. the plugs would be the same for an Si... it's still a K20 with all the same sensors...

it is very tempting but i love the fact that i can call my car stock and put down nice numbers... trust me all K-series engines beg for Kpro....

I'm assuming that they did use the 06 SI ECU. I'm not 100 percent sure what it runs on.

Here is a direct link to the bill with all the parts they used
