Just installed Tanabe concept g bolt on muffler

got my muffler in today. tanabe concept g, see tanabe website they have pics of it. i will post pics as well as sound clip. bold on was very easy, 20 minutes overall. the exhaust sounds nice. it's a straight through design with the can packed with that new tanabe stuff. it sounds good, very deep and no hitch pitch at all. not even that annoying echo ricen sound. i would totally recommend it. one more thing i would like ot note is that the trans issue with 3rd gear is slightly imrpoved. the trans shifts smoother, im guessing because of the lack of backpressure. engine revs slightly better, again no backpressure. it's dark outside, so i'll save the pics and video for tomorrow.

have you guys had an exhaust on the car before? because if you didnt , it would be the reason why you have no clue that it makes the trans feel more buttery.
video isn't in yet, i will have to do that in a parking lot so i dont annoy my neighbors. i will also take better pics of the exhaust.

I know this is available for a FG1.

I wonder if its worth getting? JHP has it for a reasonable price actually.

Hahah sorry but back pressure has nothing to do with how your car shifts.

Glad you like your axel back tho.

Post some audio clips.

You're going to have to explain this.

To me and to the 1000 people after me who are going to question this statement.

haha man this guy's funny. just too bad your actual shifter part of your transmission is under the air box, and the exhaust touches nothing except your underbody.

it's all in his mind...

Many vehicles, many exhausts, never changed the way the transmission felt. My last vehicle I changed the exhaust 5 times before I got just what I wanted in sound. Drone was hard to get rid of. Any way, I don't think it's the exhaust my guess is because you can hear the motor rpms better YOU are shifting better not the car. Just my 02.

LOL
ok, putting on an exhaust reduces backpressure, correct? therefore: a) the engine revs smoother thus helping the transmission make BUTTERY shifts. lmfao b) it's all in my mind and because i am a hardheaded M*fkr, this makes sense.
i hope i answered all your questions gentlemen. sorry no video, lost my $450 dollar camera during my footwalk through the streets of hoboken while under heavy intoxication

oh, btw im at 4800 and the trans feels a little better than before....extra extra buttery now!

So should we maybe try using butter in our gearboxes now? WoW this might be the solution.
