P2R Dyno Day ... results ... of interest to most

P2R DYNO DAY 06/24/07

Temp: 87-F
Dyno: P2R Dyno Jet
Numbers: 2007 SAE corrected
Cool-down time: NONE(back to back to back runs) ... all cars came directly off the highway/street and rolled onto the dyno ... no cars were sitting for a long enough time to cool down as they basically rolled up when one person was done since no one got there at the same time ... made things more ideal
All pulls in 4th or otherwise noted

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____________

First up ...
Me ...
why ... bone stock power wise ...
Car: 2007 FA5
Mileage: 2440
oil: stock @ 50%
other mods, "maybe" of consequence : 18" wheels, 225-40 tires, tein flex ....
runs: 3 ... 2 posted cuz 3rd was identical to 2nd
NB: when dynoing 07+ Si or any car with VSA u will HAVE to disable it or u won't get throttle response even if u at full throttle

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ______________

Second ...
Chris ... "954ep3racer" ???
Car: 2006 FG2
Mileage: unknown
oil: unknown
power mods : DIY mugen intake box (fins cut off inside stock box, snorkel + resonator removed, stock piping placed like that of a CAI) and K&N filter(stock filter element replaced) ...
other mods of consequence: NONE
NB: third run was 5th gear

So from this we can tell that the DIY intake when together with the K&N intake will give u about 3 whp on a stock car ... however the torque is impressive ... should make for better response
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _________________

Third...
Alex ... "werkt06si"
car: 2006 FG2
Mileage: unknown
oil: royal purple 5w30
Power mods: Injen CAI, Greddy SP2, Hondata IMG ...
Other mods of consequence: tein H-tech springs

NB: Third run was a 3rd gear pull

most popular combination on here ... or so it seems ... if not others are very very similar ... will give about 11whp + 14wtq ...
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __________________

Fourth ...
Hugo ... "civicSi1217"
car: 2006 FG2
Mileage: unknown
oil: unknown
power mods : hondata reflash, hondata IMG, ajp ported IM, injen CAI, buddy club race header, AJP 3" exhaust
other mods of consequence: 17" rays g games, tires??, tein S-tech ... changed his spark plugs (can't recall to what )

not really what anyone would expect, but good anyway ... the jump in the mid range is in direct relation to the buddy club race header + the hondata reflash...for one to know how much power the header actually make in the mid range (since that's where the reflash allows is to shine) as opposed to other race headers u'll have to compare the gain at that point to the gain of other race headers when paired with the hondata reflash.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ________________

all best runs compared :
NB: there will be a low run of 160WHP ... this is a real dyno number of another members FG2 ... his mods are Fugita SRI, Hondata IMG, Greddy Evo2 ... but something is clearly wrong with his car ... it was smoking on the dyno machine (on the top end from about 7000rpm +) and made a more high pitched tone than any of the other cars ... i didn't post his sheet separately cuz it's just embarrassing and IMO he doesn't need the added stress... he had made his own thread on here a short while ago for a different dyno session

red: sickyute: stock
pink: civicSi1217: H-img, H-reflash, injen CAI, AJP ported IM, BCRH, AJP 3"
blue: Chris: DIY mugen intake + k+n filter
purple: Alex "werkt06si": H-img, injen CAI, Greddy sp2 ...
black: Kenny: H-img, fugita SRI, greddy evo2 ... some thing's F-ed up with this car

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _________________

so ... a wealth of information ... well, not really ... but i hope it benefits everyone ...

Tomorrow i'll be at P2R installing a P2R TB spacer + 2 P2R TB gaskets and doing another dyno session i'll post my findings

PS: i'm going to make another mod thread for my car since i have a baseline and i'll dyno after every power mod

Are we suppose to dyno with VSA off? They may explain some of my low numbers...how much difference does it make?

we originally put his (sickyute) car on the dyno and revved it out and it revved fine... but once it was in gear it wouldn't let the motor rev b/c the e-brake was up and it (the ecu) knew that... so we took the VSA off and it revved up all the way...

basically it won't let the rpms go past like 2k or something really low like that...

I have a question last time I dyno'd my car all my 3rd gear pulls were higher than my 4th gear pulls by roughly 5hp any ideas? Seems that everyone else is pulling better numbers in 4th.
