I advise you to please use CARB products for your own sake. First most smog inspection facilities will not pass you if they find an obvious aftermarket part with no CARB EO Number. Second if you get pulled over and a cop expects your engine Bay and finds alot of non CARB legal enhancements he has the option to have your car impounded or maybe crushed now(Im not really sure about this one).
So basically 1.No on CAI since it is not CARB approved just pending(so no) 2. Exhaust is no biggie they dont care about emissions after the catalytic but make sure its not TOo loud CA Limit is 93 Decibel I think stock is 89(at WOt) 3. Not sure 4. It may increase your smog emissions but not to the point of failure 5. Dont trust High flow they do not work as effectively as stock and if you choose the reflash you may have increased smog emissions I hope I helped but thats How this is in this State http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/streetlegal.html Last edited by Skylinegtr06; 06-24-2007 at 03:47 AM. |

![]() Oh yeah, one question for you, since your in the chair force.. are you an actual resident of california, or just stationed here? Im stationed in California, but am legally a resident of Washington. I still use my WA drivers license, with plates from WA as well.. so I called up the CARB people and asked if it was legal for my "out of state" vehicle to have aftermarket parts that weren't CARB certified, even though I have been here for 3 years (and doesn't look like im leaving anytime soon). They told me as long as im not registered in the state of Cali, I can put whatever on my car as long as it adheres to EPA and my State's regulations. So if you got a drivers license from a different state, you may want to register your car with that state as well, so you're options aren't as limited. Last edited by wolos; 06-24-2007 at 04:26 AM. |

, even though it doesnt have a sticker. but the reason he pulled me over in the first place was because i dont have a front license plate on. so i think the op should be fine with those parts when it's time to smog. |

Oh I almost forgot, one other thing the CARB people told me was to just keep magazine cutouts or some sort of official paper showing/saying that a particular performance part on your car is 49 (or 50) state legal. Just in case the cops do try to give you any lip. |
