Greddy Evo2 Installed
Before anyone starts, no I didn't install this myself. I don't have the garage space, tools, and time for such a task (since I'm a software engineering lead for a big project). I just called up Midnight Performance locally (called on Saturday) and asked Warren to hook me up, "Hey Warren, I'm super busy but want an Evo2 installed by the end of the week. Cool?" LOL
The experience? Well, after doing a bunch of reading in this forum the Evo 2 was the choice for me. I wanted a deep sounding exhaust system without sounding ricey but not being equal to or less than stock. With this system, at low RPMs it sounds like stock with bass tones kicked a tiny notch maybe more (and this is only the second day - installed Thursday afternoon). I can definitely feel a tiny more "umph" when driving and more noticeable increases when in higher RPMS There is not excessive drone at highway speeds. I actually have to turn off my music to realize the exhaust is there (drove around yesterday without any music just to hear the tones - and I love my music..hehe). At lower speeds when there is less sound noise from other vehicles, you can hear/feel that rumble. It was exactly what I was looking for. Its loud when you want it to be! In fact, I find my self driving more conservatively around the neighboorhood as I don't want to irritate too many people (in my area). However, when I'm near open roads or that free way exit.... The video doesn't do it justice if you don't have your system hooked up to a subwoofer and the bass turned up. With a simple headset, I was not impressed at the video or sound. With my other computer system, it sounded like the car as it does in person.... I'll get more videos of full throttle and a full speed drive-by later (hey it was only the first day on) .![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ----- Added 6/24/2007 -------------

Awesome review, nice pics/vid also. I have the Greddy Evo2 as well and I love it. It doesn't attract too much unwanted attention but yet It looks/sounds great. Combine it with a injen cold air intake as I did, and you'll be even more in love. Good luck with future mods! and enjoy!

not bad. i hate when it pitches higher though. can't ask for much i guess, since we have 4-cylinders :\
Actually would be nice to hear it (with a windscreen on the mic :)) from the side as if you were standing next to it, with a drive-by, take off, and return. That would probably get a more accurate sound. |
