N/A 13's?

Hey guys, I've kinda been out of the game lately as far as keeping up my research on these cars. I saw a guy that ran a 13.6 with I/H/E, tune, and race tires. Is that about average for those mods, or was this a fluke? I remember the last I heard before now, you guys were hitting low 14's with those mods, so I was wondering how many advances have been made since about 2-3 months ago.

thanks everybody

I don't know of the person that ran a 13.6, but I hit a couple 13.8's with bolt ons and drag radials.... I don't think I am an ungodly driver, so anyone with those mods should be able to hit that mark!

Okay, thanks guys. And yeah, I was talking about the new Si's. How much would those five mods would cost, $2000 or so? And what are some good light weight, cheap wheels to mount the tires on for race day (preferable 16-17")?

Intake - ~$250
Exhaust - $500
Race Header ~$300-$1200
'Tune' (Actually a reflash) - $600

Tires, I have no idea what kind or price. Definitely get slicks if you want to net the best times.

Most definately possible, i think I can touch 13's with a test pipe intake and some nice tires :) Some bridgestone Gforce's.. beautiful tires, tire rack has them for 136 a pop for 17's in 2 different profiles

5-Zigen FN01R-C's are the lightest wheels I've found so far. Would you guys suggest going to a 16" wheel for track use? I don't think these are the best looking wheels out there by any means, but lightweight wheels gives a definite advantage. I'll probably roll with the stockers just driving around every day.

So basically, with these mods, I could run about even with one of the new 'Stang GT's? they run high 13's I believe.

When you think about it, it is quite amazing performance for just a few mods to get into the 13's. That is muscle car performance. I was going to keep my new Si sedan stock, but after reading all these posts, looks like I am going to have to do the intake, header, exhaust and reflash. Just the thought of a 13 second Si make me grin wildly.

Hey thanks entropy, I'll definitely check those out. Of course, I'm planning WAY ahead, because this car will be my Christman present haha...but I don't want to get the car and be clueless as to what mods to do.

And nitrousG35, it is definitely awesome. The most frustrating thing for me will be rollin' with my friend and his damned WS6...he has nothing but exhaust, and even with all those mods, I'll never be able to touch it. Then again, his car costs much more to drive/insure than any Civic, too. And you can't really beat the sound of an LS1...
