the upgrade is free if you bought the scangauge II on or after July 20th of 2007 and $25 if you bought it before July 20th 2007.

Excellent. Please post an update when you have a chance to play with it. I am thinking about picking one of these up soon.

I just had mine upgraded. It now has some nice features I wished they had included to start off with. Even for $25 it's worth it.

Well thats good. It could have just been a random code. I got one in my Yaris at around 1k miles. Code was for something like improper signal voltage or strength from the throttle sensor or throttle motor or something to do w/ DBW. Cleared it and never got it again, sold at around 20k miles or so.

i just got one with the x gauge and i added hp. i have a r18 and it reads at crusing about 40 hp and at 6900 rpm = 146 . i have the k&n short ram and i think the numbers are real close to the crank hp.

Yea that is pretty close. Even if the #'s are off a bit it would be interesting to see how much HP you make when at diff throttle %s. All you ever see is max HP.

Some of these check engine lights makes me wonder if it interferes with the ecu accuracy readings. Don't want a ecu to read weak signals due to this thing taking away from sensor voltage readings.
