Just got mine in and hooked it up on Saturday. Now I just have to quit watching the silly thing all the time. It looks like on a steady, flat cruise at 70 mph, I get (07 manual LX sedan) about 45 mpg. I'm hoping that might even increase as things break in a bit, since I only have about 200 miles on the car.
Fun toy to have, and it really reinforces fuel saving driving habits if you are in to that. Being able to watch the timing and IAT's is cool too. I haven't even started playing with the trip functions yet. |

Nice, I'm so getting one next Jan!
I have a friend who is buying one too for his Tuscon. The US Tuscon's came with a DTE meter etc, and side curtain airbags. His didn't (CAN model). This will cure one of his furies. Lol he's also mad the next year's model came with body coloured bumpers too! No love!

For those with a Scanguage...
Just wondering if they are more accurate than the stock fuel gauge?
I don't want something telling me I'm empty and having 5L or 70kms left... its too nerve racking... Is the scanguage/sg2 more accurate? Ie when it says DTE its more or less 0? or is the DTE showing you down to the 5L reserve tank etc like the car shows you?

mine has always been within 1.5%
I know this because when you fill up and reset the scangauge it has a section that allows you to adjust the amount filled up verse the amount scangauge thought you used. I always seem to go up or down 1%. I also did the math of miles/gallons at fillup and compared that with the SCGII and it was within 1-2% - I did drive about 40miles with zero bars on the fuel gauge. |

Once calibrated, and with steady weather and driving habits, it's pretty much on the money. I fill when the last block goes away. If the fill is 12 gallons, it'll indicate 1 gallon in reserve (my firmware is slightly out of date, it only lets you set the tank size in even gallons), which is exactly right (12 + 1 gallon indicated left + 0.2 "reserve" that I can't enter).
But as weather changes, you can be off a few percent. The other BIG change is seasonal gas formulas (oxygenated) and snow tires. -mr. bill |

If I understand your question - it is 1%ish of the actual fuel level in the tank. example - Simply fill up tank. Look at pump. Pump says 10 gallons. Scangauge says 9.8 gallons. |
