i'm using the velcro but i haven't had any problems yet, if anything, just get a stronger velcro.

that's where mine has been, i know the picture has a bad quality, but me + digital point and shoot = nothing.

Here's where I put mine. Look! Where's the cable?

I removed the panel cover to route the cable there. You can't tell it's open from a sitting position.

I never realized how different the other versions of the Civic were. I assumed the center console was the same in all of them.

i pulled up the weather stripping just enough to stick the wire inside.
then ran it behind the lower dash thing.
it was surprisingly easy to pull the stripping out.

I'll take a few pics later this week but off the top of my head I noticed the mirror controls are on the dash vice the door, no audio controls on the wheel, the auto shifter is further forward and the cubby behind it is different (meaning you may have trouble mounting it where I mounted mine). No big deal, just different.

the centre console is from a CSX

the hazard button is from a JDM store

the switched dials could be something else

We also don't have the passenger-side airbag off indicator.

^^the ECU has to get the info because some intakes get a CEL for running too rich or lean. I dont see why the scangauge cant get the info. It gets HP, but no AFR?

I am still hapy with it though. i still have to play with it. today waiting at lights i was going threw it a bt and saw all the fuel info saved up, but couldnt find RPMs or anything else.

Didn't get to take these until tonight. The velcro that came with my ScanGauge had been falling off every day or two for a few weeks so I replaced the velcro and also added two tabs of velcro to the backside of the display so it's now stuck to two surfaces.

^ Don't use velcro. The eBay seller who shipped me my SGII was kind enough to include a length of 3M Dual-Lock fasteners. It's ages better than Velcro.

Looks like good stuff but consider this. The velcro that came with my 1st generation ScanGauge (HUGE in comparison to generation II) is still hanging that beast of a display 4 years after I put it there. Time will tell if the extra velcro I had hanging around my garage will fix the problem since the plastic Honda used is almost as slick as teflon!

On today's local news they showed the SGII in a "Consumer Report" and had a local university researcher speaking about it. They showed an in car view of it and the guy was driving a Honda Insight.

I thought it was pretty cool.
