The computer will usually just stop responding to some requests. This will have unpredictable effects on your car. Mine stopped showing the fuel cutoff condition.
The 06+ Honda Civic uses CAN! (Source is the Factory Service Manual.)

Specifically CANLF according to my Scangauge II. (Which if I'm understanding LinearLogicSpeak, is Long Fast, or 29-bit & 500 kbps.) Are you sure you didn't FORCE ISO?

First try MORE> MORE> MODE>, scroll through and select AUTO then FORCE> I'll be surprised if it doesn't come up CANLF. Otherwise, try to force CANLF.

And finally, a swag. I suspect your C1555 might be a garbled U0155, which is "F-CAN Malfunction (Gauge Control Module-Engine Control Module) (ECM)).

I don't know. I just plugged mine in, and waited a few seconds while it said, "connecting", then it came on.

#2 SOLUTION: Use MORE>MORE>MODE and try Forcing the following modes:
FORD Products: PWM or CANSF
GM Products: VPW , ISO or CANSF
Chrysler Products: ISO, VPW or CANSF
Volvo Products: ISO, CANSF or CANLF
Others: ISO, KWPS, KWPF, CANSF, CANLF, CANSS or CANLS
#3 CAUSE: Vehicle is not OBDII, OBD2 or EOBD compatible.

If you are still having trouble, I'd also try:
MORE>MORE>MORE>USE DEFAULTS>YES

To get your ScanGauge II in a known good state, then try again.

Thanks a bunch! This helps alot. I was trying to force them all I had no idea! I,ll reset it and then try CANLF and see what happens. How do you slow down the bit rate again?

The bitrate should just be CANLF or CANLS (Last character Fast or Slow I think?).
The update rate is MORE>MORE>RATE , and you can choose between normal/fast/slow.
(Mine works just fine FAST.)

Just triple checking. You've turned the car to "run" and/or started the engine while you are trying to connect, right?

Yeah I sure did. The car is on but this thing WILL NOT connect. I see lights flashing in the dash (speedo goes to 0 and coolant gauge goes blank) but it still isnt working! Theres only one OBD2 port right? directly near the right knee under the dash! This is frustrating!

The scangauge should work even if you:
-plug it in, then turn car on.
-turn car on, then plug it in.
should work within 10 seconds.

It sounds like yours is defective.
I suggest you try a known good device on your OBD2 port.

Um, new issue:

Free Vtec??????

So I reset to defaults b/c the gas thing was still inaccurate after my 3rd fillup. I reset everything after filling up and also adjusted the fillip from 14L to 12L fine.

So I took my car on the highway tonight and accelerated a few times only to find that I was in 'free' territory: My LHK, LPH, HP all went to 0! I'm not so thrilled with my new results

I'm also not so thrilled that the DTE gauge/trip thing is a little to "current" for my tastes. I like it in other cars when it tells you you have 400kms+ left in the tank, not 200kms based on current driving right after filling up. I mean I guess it's good when you're trying to get to the next gas station, but what good is the meter until then? It's not what I thought it would be. Any one else notice that?

^^ The reason it does that is it needs to get an average as you accumulate km's. I think everything gets reset to zero when you do the fill up thing then bases everything on averages. Sorry to hear its still not accurate. Don't feel so bad, it took me 5 tries/fillips to get it working right.

As for the LHK, LPH, HP all to 0, not sure whats up with that.

were you letting completely off the gas?

if you were..our cars when you let off the gas and the rpm is above 1100 the ECU shuts off power to the injectors only when in gear..so you aren't using any fuel and the wheels are turning over the motor through the trans..

No its unfortunately the exact opposite,

its when I push the car past 4000 RPMs was this happening.

that's weird...

i wonder if it's the SGII or the ECU..

or maybe it's the cable between the two
