Question Been looking at exhausts...

I have almost made up my mind on getting the skunk2 70mm exhaust. I just wanted to know if anyone could possibly "talk me out of it" or even tell me why i should get the skunk2. I just want some suggestions. I have heard the skunk2 is very loud and some people may not like that. I want a good sounding exhaust, no rice sound plz, and good performance. looks would be a bonus but not too important to me.

I just finally decided on the Vibrant exhaust just because I have the ajp currently and dont like the sound or looks. My advice is to get something quieter than you think that you will want because loud exhaust on a 4cyl gets old quick.

The only exhaust that i think doesn't sound ricey is Comptech's, but you can't get those any more. Next, the Greddy EVO 2 doesn't sound too ricey, other than than, its steamed rice from everyone, imo of course

Almost all the exhaust sound ricey, thats just reality when dealing with cars like ours. The ricey sound isn't bad, its good with chicken and soy sause.

Yes... they are NEON ORANGE!

You will never get the deep rumble of a V8... the best sounding NA 4 banger on earth is the Subaru Impreza with the 2.5L.... of course, it only sounds REALLY good because it has a poorly deisgned unequal length header (engine design and ground clearance dictated an unequal length header) so you sacrifice power for sound... put the equal length header on the car and it sounds like every other 4 banger.

My Subaru days taught me that the sound of the car has WAY more to do with the header than with the exhaust... my Subaru got louder with different exhausts (even NO exhaust) but never REALLY sounded different... I changed the header to a better designed (yet still unequal length) header and the car was beautiful to listen to... by far, the single biggest thing I will miss about Subarus.
