Hondata Reflash Question

I recently purchased the hondata reflash ecu for my si and i was wondering if any of you guys still had the rev hang and 1st gear lag?

Copied from their website

Important Upgrade

Honda has released an upgrade for the 06 Civic Si ECU. As of August 1 2006 Hondata has incorporated these changes 06 Civic Si reflash. the 07 model incorporates this fix. Honda lists the problems addressed as:

* Hesitation in first gear
* RPM hang when shifting

So that was the main thing i was concerned about and it still does it?!
I called Hondata and i even offered to pay extra to have it reflashed again but they said thats all they can do.

Anyone else have this problem?! I'm not sure what else to try besides forkin out the extra dough for kpro and a good dyno tune.

it was an improvement to the problem but not a cure. the problem lies within the drive by wire system.

Oh i was under the impression that it had the honda reflash incorporated. I have seen si's with the reflash and there was a dramatic decrease in the rev hang. I compared my reflashed si with my friends bone stock same year and everything, and the rev hang and lag was identical. the only difference was the ivtec coming in at 4500 and going to 8600 which is cool and i love. But i hate the rev hang and lag with a passion.

I have an '07 Si, and have noticed no change since my Hondata reflash. Were the issues solved by the time I got my '07? In any case, I have no problems with it the way it is.

I was hoping the last time this question was asked was just that...the last time...please search...there have only been 250 threads on this

If your car was made after 7/10/06 you have the most current reflash...Honda or Hondata...they both address it to all cars made BEFORE 7/10/06. If your car was made after that date.....whatever rev hang you have stays...Honda OR Hondata

I believe your thread talks about the Honda reflash, and this thread is about the Hondata reflash.

It addresses the same issue and fixes it the same way......As far as rev hang and gear lag, Hondatas settings and Hondas are exactly the same. As a matter of fact, Hondata took the new program from Honda to use

From the OP's post and Hondata site

"Honda has released an upgrade for the 06 Civic Si ECU. As of August 1 2006 Hondata has incorporated these changes "

isaac1976, did you get the Hondata or Honda reflash? I don't think any dealers will let you reflash on 07 because they are supposed to already have the reflash.
