i raced my friend with an rsx-s with i/rh/e when i was stock (4dr si) and he would pull 3 cars on me from about 40-80mph. when i put on my injen cai we did another 40 roll and i would pull half a car instantly then he would catch back up and slowly slowly pull on me. this is enough evidence for me to believe that injen really does add power . i was very surprised and now hes a little scared of my car lol

I posted dynos of my car, before and after injen CAI. I gained approx 3-9hp, depending on environment conditions, and dyno settings.

You really enjoy raining on people's parade don't you?...if you don't think it will help your car then don't install one, but why keep coming into a thread and downing on it and everyone who has one?...Childish IMO. Do want you want to your ride and quit hating on everyone else.

For every one person that actually posts there are a lot more that read trying to find honest information. Message boards are about the transfer of information and not just patting each other on the back. What good would that do?

Just because you don't like the message doesn't mean it's anything personal against you and it still makes me laugh how personal some of you guys take things. I don't know you so why would I want to "rain on your parade?" Sounds a bit paranoid and insecure don't you think?

PS, you and reaper could just pat each other on the back if that will make you both feel better?

It isn't "honest information" its your opinion, and i didn't say rain on "my" parade i'm speaking of the people who have already installed one that you have bashed throughout this whole thread.

It seems there are more posts actually showing that they gained HP (whether its 2,3,5 or 10hp) by adding a CAI, than your opinion that they don't gain HP and it's a waste of money, that you have yet to back up with any dyno #'s. You've already stated your point numerous times throughout the thread and also used your little analogy about sugar pills more than once.

Edit: I saw that you did post dyno's...... from two different cars on different dyno's. Interesting. I'm more inclined to believe a dyno of the same car on the same dyno before and after install, but hey thats just me.

What's up with the victim routine? No one is getting "bashed." It's just people that already spent money on something generally have a hard time being objective. At least when (or should I say "if") a noob does a search they will get some dissent based on evidence and not just Fast and Furious fantasy.

I used the sugar pill analogy more than once because it's a good one.

You can believe whatever makes you feel good. I also posted dynos from the same car on the same day where the shop used different correction factors to skew the results and when this was pointed out and the same factor was applied there was no gain but you don't mention that. I guess the mind only sees what it wants to see.

What proof or facts do they base their analisys on? The Si hasn't even be around for 5 years so there is no way for them to know what the long time effects would be. Actually I don't see how the Hondadata would hurt the engine. All it does is make the VTEC come on at around 4500 rpm instead of 5800 rpm and it raises the Rev limit a bit. And it's not a chip. Hondadata reprograms your existing ECU. I personally think it's a bit expensive for what it is since it really doesn't even adjust your air/fuel mixture or your timing but I don't think it's going to hurt the engine any more then the stock program. It more depends on how you drive the car.
Someone with stock programming can kill that car in less than 5 years if they drive it like an idiot.

Ok, man, maybe I told him it was a chip, thanks for explaining it...it is just a reprogramming of our stock ecu, cool, back on my mission to get hondata.
Thanks Tom
