Hi Wally,

Thank you for your order. If you ordered yesterday, it will be shipping out today and you will recive a UPS tracking number by e-mail when UPS picks it up.

Thanks

Thanks Kevin.

UPS says it will be here Monday - 11/12/2007

Also I'm considering of changing my MTF as well to the Amsoil Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5W-30 (what the Si guys are using) - is this the correct fluid or should I use something different? Manual is lame and says only Honda MTF.

Also, with this being an EX, R18 would it help smooth things out too? or is this idea overkill?

A lot of questions - thanks all for the help/advice . . .

Hi,

Amsoil Synthetic seems to be a popular choice. I would go with it, if the Si guys are having good results I don't see why it wouldn't achieve similar results with the EX.

I got the short shifter installed last night - that was very easy to do!

The shifter base bushings was a whole another story. Basically, I gave up as I really didn't want to have to remove my center console to install/retrieve bushings . I am very mechanically inclined, but it was late and I got frustrated (after recovering a OEM bushing or two - and decided it wasn't worth installing the new shifter base bushings).

I also got my after market auto-dimming mirror installed too - see more info about how to that here: DIY: Installing Autodimming Homelink Mirror (No A-Pillar)

I will tackle the shifter cable bushings tonight - those should go well. I already like the shorter throws esp w/ my shifter knob spun all the way down! I have about 4" of throw from gear to gear - just right IMHO. The bushings will help even more (at least I hope they do).

Follow up: I installed the cable bushings last night.

Hardest part (believe it or not) was removal of the lower air box (I spent 75% of the time removing and re-installed that thing, a real PITA).

So far the bushings have a very solid feel - I like them!

Now for a rainy day to do the MTF change . . . .

Yeah, the airbox can be a bit of a pain... Glad to hear you like the cable bushings

The base bushings remove flex from a different location than the cable bushings. The cable bushings remove the flex from the cables themselves wheras the base bushings remove flex from the shift assembly itself thus providing a more precise shift feel overall.

Replacing either set of bushings independently improves the shift feel, replacing both cable and base bushings will provide you with the most complete shift upgrade since all the components that can flex have been replaced. The base bushings are simple to install, but it is recommended that you remove the center console unless you have small hands like me

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello llckll,
Heres the link to the installation manual
http://www.twmperformance.com/manual...all-manual.pdf

The manual doesn't mention un-bolting the console because I usually install them without removing the console although it is alot easier if you do. I think most people on this forum remove the console screws and just back the console out a few inches for easier access to the shift assembly.
