I did search but quick question about AEM CAI vs SRI

Okay....before we get crazy with the whole "search before hand thing" From what I've read, the AEM SRI seems to catch a lot of criticism and doesn't seem too effective. My question is does the AEMcai suffer from a similar fate? How effective is the AEM CAI because, from what I can gather, the INJEN and Fujita trounce it. Why does AEM's stuff perform so poorly? Thanks guys.

People bag on them because the DCRH had some major issues, and the CAI threw a cel for some reason. I've had the AEM SRI for about 4 months now and absolutely love it, no problems at all. Most SRI's are going to be very similar in performance, you might see 3-5 WHP, but it screams when you hit

I have an AEM CAI with a bypass valve to prevent water from getting into the engine. Never had a CEL, and it works and sounds great.

Thanks guys....it always seems that that injen and fujita are mentioned first, but I was trying to figure out why one would give more than the other...they look so similar..

The newer version of the AEM CAI doesn't cause the CEL to come on now. They've fixed the problem from the older version

I have an AEM SRI, I think its pretty good, nice sound and i love the red color, thats probably why i got it over the other brands.

K&N always makes quality products but ive been dealing with their stuff for a long time and the thing with their filters is its nylon woven i believe so it flows very well, the least restrictive of everything ive ever used, but it has bigger gaps and doesnt filter out dust and dirt as well.
