stock exaust...no cat

hey....im new to this forum....i had my si for a while now and i thought its time to start doing some mods..
i wanted to change my exuast...i just dont want it to be too loud...
i was thinking about leaving the stock exaust and just putting a straight pipe insted of the cat.....has anyone done that?
if yes....any sound clips how it sounds?

I have a similar setup. I have the DCRH with no cat and stock exhaust. I don't have a sound clip, but it sounds deeper than stock.

ummm this might be a dumb question...whats DCRH...?
can i buy the pipe somewhere online? or should i just get it custom made?

what you are looking for is a test pipe. there are no inexpensive ones made for our cars yet. you can proboly get a shop for replace teh cat with a peice of pipe.

DCRH = DC sports racing header

DCRH is a race header, basically it removes the cat. You should search more on it though, some people have had problems with it
