CAI Installed

So I installed the Injen CAI today, after previously owning the fujita sri. I was expecting to be disappointed by the sound of the CAI, however I wasn't, it sounded almost as loud to me. I got to thinking though, I know when pipes are worn in, coated with oil and soot, they tend to quiet down some, much like exhaust pipes. I know these use oiled filters by default, and I wonder if that makes it quieter after some use. I remember after a month or so my SRI sounded much quieter, and I could have swore it wasn't just me getting used to it.
