Check Engine Light Results

Now that I finally got my lazy butt up, brought it to the dealership to find out what's throwing the CEL with the aftermarket intake.

"Codes indicating the MAF Signal Voltage is low and Fuel Metering Problems"

Is there any way to solve this problem now?

EDIT: It's a Fujita SRI on an Acura CSX

Did they provide you with a CEL code? (usually starts with a P### or a DTC ##-##)...

does that mean that your intake is malfunctioning or does it mean that you MAF sensor isnt use to the SRI?

Well did you have them clear it? If you cleared it and if it doesn't come back on, you're OK at this time...

According to the Service Manual, that MAF Sensor code is a DTC P0102. I can't find a code with Fuel Metering problem... There's a whole procedure on troubleshooting this problem out... But the basics include: Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the MAF sensor and the ECM. Maybe even take out the MAF sensor and make sure the little probe on it is not soaked in the oil or dirty from the air filter (it could happen..)

my old AEM CAi was throwing a similar code.

'fuel metering to lean' it was like p0171 and it was directly related to the maf sensor.

does your intake have an indent where the maf sensor goes or is it hte same diameter all around?

try renistalling the MAf and make sure that it is fully insereted into the slot...its kinda a tight fight but it seels the hole pretty good..

Well I have the same problem (P0171) on R18 with K&N Typhoon... basically just comes on once a week or every two weeks, stays on for a couple of days and goes away on its own. Reseating the battery cable works too, but gets old after about 5 times. Had dealership reprogram ECM/PCM today, if that doesn't work (and it comes back on) they tell me I'll have to put it back to stock or it won't be covered under warranty.

CAI in general causes the motor to run a bit lean. Though there are a few out there that seem to richen the A/F. As for your intake, Fujita is the leanest running SRI out there. Most likely how deep they have the MAF mounted into the pipe. Best thing you can do is clear the code, remove the MAF and make sure it's clean and assure that it's fully seated into the housing plate. One thing I have seen is when people install they MAF into the housing plate, the O-ring on the MAF has a tendency to stick in the bore of the housing causing it to not go in as far. Give a light coat of some WD40 on it when you re-install it.
