I've had my Vibrant on for about a week now using all the factory parts with no leaks(keep fingers crossed) The only thing I have to take a look at is the exhaust tip sits a 1/4 inch from the where the bumper. During start up or hitting bump it's hitting the rear bumper. I'll have the shop that installed it take a peak and fix it.

^ yeah definately get that checked. I have heard stories of melted bumpers after a vibrant install. Better to be safe than sorry.

Does anybody have any pics showing how close the exhaust was to melt the bumper?

I just installed my exhaust on my TW FA5, I got it from Sctuned no problems at all, and it sounds great even though it’s for the coupe it doesn’t leak. At normal driving it sounds little louder then stock but when you floor it’s deep not whiney like a weed whacker. Performance wise I noticed a difference, it pulls smoothly, I hit in first, then second, I shifted into third great it chirped the tires I was like , down shifting is great the sound and how smoothly it pulls all the way, I’m loving this exhaust I highly recommend it.

Did you have to do anythign special when installing it to make it fit the sedan? Or was it just a simple adjustment w/ the clamp and everything was good?

Also, I have to ask.. does this thing gurgle/backfire at all when people downshift? I'm slightly jealous of the S2 owners who get that. I love that sound

Took it to the shop a few days later and the inside part of the bumper was getting melted pretty good from the tip getting so hot. The shop re adjusted the hangers and now it's sits better. When I get my HFP kit though next rear it's going to have to be re adjust again.

I don't have a pic but I can tell you the exhaust tip was so close you couldn't put your pinky finger between the exhaust tip and the bumper. Now i've got a solid inch or so of clearance and it's all good. I can take a pic of that if you'd like?

Its a simple adjustment, everything fits nicely, the clamp covers that space needed for the sedan. I havnt noticed any gurgle/backfire at all. it sounds rite.

Alright cool, thanks for letting me know. I was worried because Bill had to put some spacers or something in his to make it fit.

Yeah Mine sits close to the bumper also.

Worried it might melt it.

How did the shop adjust it? Since I installed this my self I would like to know.

Sounds great and no leaks with the clap they provided.

Hey guys, basicly he put the car on a lift took what looked like a metal crow bar put it between the actaul metal exhaust hanger and put some downward pressure on it. 10 seconds later I had a solid inch to inch and a half of clearance where before I had a 1/4 inch if I was lucky.

Ok going to give that a try. I was thinking of just taking the exhaust off heating the hangers up and bending them. Just incase i put a dent in the muffler.

Unfortunately I moved from VA when I was 6 lol

Actually the sad thing is my parents are forcing me to get it installed at my Honda dealership. Why? I have no idea since it's not like them installing it will magically renew any warranty for my exhaust. But that's there request, and it's costing me $200 for a freakin exhaust install. I'm very, very tempted to scan in my receipt from the dealership of when they mounted my wheels and then just photoshop it.
