If you want to really be creative, you could cut the plastic piece where the fog light would sit and let the air from outside the engine bay enter the air filter.

I'm pretty sure a little water on the filter won't hurt. I've never hydrolocked a motor, but from everything I've read and been told, you have to completely submerge the filter.

AEM CAI does have a bypass valve for it. The only proflem is you have to run the AEM CAI to use it. http://www.procivic.com/pages-produc...ass-valve.html

I understand the bypass but that is only good if you completly submerge the intake. Image the amount of water it takes for you to hydroplayne (sp). Will that sudden splash get through the filter?. I assume that little amount will cause white smoke.

That little amount of water will more than likely just evaporate given the high temperature of the motor.

I have a question. What kind of filter does the Fujita Intake use? When it comes time to clean the thing will I have to oil it?

I'm pretty sure you have to oil it. I think the only filter that doesn't require oil is the AEM dryflow.

I believe you're referring to the Hydroshield, part # is X-1033, which I have on my Injen CAI. I don't no how needed it will be, since on my LX sedan the air filter seems to be encased on all sides w/ protection - bumper, fender, etc. But there's added peace of mind for me knowing that I have it.

From All The Intakes I Have Seen, The K&n "69-1012tp" Has The Most Whp Gain, And Its Just A Short Ram But With A Heat Shield, Being The Only One With A Head Shield Is Proven More Horses That Any Other.

I just installed the AEM CAI(blue) and it hasnt given me any problems...I love it really it sounds amazing n deep its intimidating lol so its all good!

i didnt cut my fender well w/ my injen CAI

i have a question...anyone experiencing weird rpmsw/ their injen CAI. i have noticed that at night as i come to a stop my rpms will drop to 500 then shoot up to 1000 and then come to rest at 700?

any ideas

After having the Injen CAI for about a week now I have noticed a slight drop in low end performance...is this typical of a CAI? Currently looking for a place to Dyno here in good ol Kansas.

Injen CAI + EVO2 = FTW

That happens to me sometimes...maybe once a week. I think it has something to do with the MAF sensor. It's never stalled on me or given me any problems while driving so I just live with it
