synthetic oil

Has any one gone to synthetic motor oil? if so what brand and how soon"miles on motor" that is?

i have and so have many people. i used it for my first oil change. i use mobil one syn.

royal purple, got it in my engine, tranny, and i got purple ice in my cooling system, by far the best. car runs at least 2-3 dots cooler with it.

since i put the royal purple products in my car the temp guage is 2 dots less. dont know what it did but its running cooler. did the same with my 05 rsx type s and similar results

Tis true, less friction equals less heat, duh.

My 72 Torino 351CJ-4V runs cooler since I ran Royal Purple. :)

I think any of the major manufacture's Synthetic Line will work.

There were questions regarding the stock used in Castrol Syntec's 5w-30/40 oils.

i plan on changing mine in about 4000 or so, to give it a try. not too impressed with royal purple...gears feel very similar to before
