Poor Fitment ON injen cai

I recently installed my injen cold air after having the aem cel intake. First the aem was a lot easier to install because of the better fitment and no modification to the splash fenders. Anyway where the injen connects to the throttle body its not completely in the throttle body. There are no leaks but it almost barely fits into my r18s tiny engine compartment. any suggestions?
