Just bought a bunch of bolt ons, I/H/E/TBS/plugs/FP and some other minor things and am trying to find a RELIABLE AND REASONABLE place in the Raleigh/Durham NC area for install, I am new to the area and google really didn't help with this search. Thanks!

There is a place called A.S.A.P.
tuning here which has a pretty good rep better than the alternative which is phantasm motorsports. With just those Mods though I would install them yourself then get a tune by ASAP. The install really isn't as bad as you might think. Sent from my PC36100 using AutoGuide.Com Free App |

Awesome yeah that sounds great the whole list is CT shorty headers, Berk's HFC, skunk2 catback (70mm), Unorthadox pulleys, Engine torque dampener "Stiffy" PR2 TBS, the new Skunk2 3.5" intake which it says the battery and ECU has to be moved and it comes with what it needs for that, and of course Hondata FP, do you guys think the factory injectors are good for this or do I need to go bigger?

it was about $500 with taxes. I didn't want to mess with emissions right now..First car I've ever done anything with so I figured I'd start out basic with bolt ons and see where it takes me after that. If I can't the last week of this month I can get together the 2nd week of July

Stock injectors should be fine with that set up your gonna be nearing the max though. Anything else like cams you're gonna need new injectors

with flashpro you can override the CEL you'd get with something like the Skunk2 Alpha header and in NC theres only an ECU test, not a visual test when it comes to inspections so no one is the wiser on emissions because the computer says nothing is wrong
BUT with an HFC you wont have either problem, I have one (thanks Mike) and never had a problem with emissions or CELs Last edited by jdenmark; 06-17-2012 at 11:10 PM. |

OP, what I did to be emissions legal here in CO (we have a visual and a sniffer), was I had the Berk HFC welded to my buddyclub race header. That way I have power with a true 4-2-1 race header (rather than just a shorty), and am emissions legal. Of course, this will require some cutting and welding, but it's nothing that a reputable exhaust shop can't handle. Just an option for you to think about...

2 hours isn't bad at all, I was definitely hoping it was a one day deal for everything, I actually installed the SRI that is on it right now which was easy but I had the tools to do it which are with my brother in Nebraska, The Skunk2 CAI will be a little more due to having to move the battery and ECU, I have thought about a true race header but for now I'm going with shorty to have a true bolt on set up until I get a little more into cams and things like that then I will eventually move to a race header to get a little more power out of it. Things would be much easier without all this emissions garbage.
