The way these intakes are designed, a bypass won't work. They have to be parallel with the throttle body and the tube in our case, bends right away. Do a search on this and you'll pull up numerous discussions.

In any case, keep the board updated with the intake situation. There are quite a bit of people who would want some pictures or more information.

I'm going to leave this thread up for now to see if there is any info on a new intake. If not I am going to lock it b/c there are already numerous other threads about the bypass already available.

You guys that have the CEL and the AEM should e-mail AEM ASAP you must have your Paperwork from buying it.

The Guys I talked to by e-mail was

Guillermo Alvarez
galvarez@aempower.com
AEM / DC Sports

He was a good help and got the New intake right out to me.

I will be installing it after I get the New HID retro fit lights back from Customlightz

Did AEM not ask for the other intake back? So now you have 2 intakes?

You must show photos of your old intake Trashed so it can not be used or resold. So get out the Big Hammer :-)

^^ you have to show them you trashed it? wth? don't you think sending them back the unit would have been more reasonable?

You have to show the intake trashed before they can send it to you? That's not a very good deal. What about people who already have it installed in their cars?
