So I was thinking that I could put a piece of rubber in between the pipe and the bolt/ steel cable. But then I realized that instead of just having them rattle up against each other, the shaking would be transfered between the two. Would that cause damage to either part you think?

for the bolt head thats touching, i would grind down some of the head to create more clearance. but leave enough so that the bolt could still come out in the future.
For more clearance in general, I would loosen everything up from the motor down to were it bolts to the midpipe. retighten everything and try and reposition it for more clearance. Hope that helps. |
