How easy is it to install the Hondata IMG.........

How easy was it to install the Hondata IMG on a SI? Was it just loosen the bolts, take off the old gaskets, then put the new one on, put the bolts back on and tighten?

Well it's not as easy as it might seem. It'll take about 2 hrs to install.

It is not HARD. It is more like tedious. You will run into lots of headaches, the tueb under the manifold, double nuttin, like previously stated, and getting manifold off. I recommend you do it yourself. Clear a day on your schedule, prepare for it, don't rush. Take your time, it makes working on your car 2x as fun. Don't stress, this is a hobby. Enjoy IT.

You are so right. It took a while and was fun doing the install, why? You get to learn a liitle about our car and engine. Since I had the Hondata IMG, I waited for Comptechs Shifter bushings, Fujita's SRI, and Samco hoses to come in. Then I installed all at once. Taking my time it took around 5 hrs. The best part it was rewarding cuz i did it my self.

omg. Why are people using these? Does hot coolant NOT run through the gasket and into the IM? It makes a huge difference on the k20a2, k20a, k24a1, k20z1... but not the k20z3 and k24a2 because we have HOT COOLANT IN THE IM!

Even without hot coolant in the IM... it will insulate the IM fron the heat of the block... may not make a huge difference on a dyno, but try racing a car all day in 98 degree weather on hot tarmac... EVERY bit helps then

And my IM gasket is in the back seat of the car... just waiting for a little time to install it (ot course... I got mine for free as well as one for my Integra by helping a friend out when he got stranded)... :)
