you still need a 3" open exhaust flange welded to the 2.5" midpipe to fit on the downpipe...

Just a simple guess...he lives in Canada and maybe they only have 94 over there as their premium.

Sickyute - did your exhaust note get quieter when you went turbo? How did it change?

About the exhaust... why not go with what works? You like the evo2.. but you're worried so much about .14 inches... I say stay with evo2.. it meets your needs :].. I just hope you dont do a run around then come back to the evo2 haha
your post makes me laugh, you dont know me .. i do run to redline constantly. so simple answer, im always in v-tec, and the 3 octane may not do much but simply makes me feel better.

3" downpipe to 3" exhaust = more noise.

The key word is UNLEADED. When I used that the car was fine, when I put the 110 leaded it smelled like ass

You might want to look at Vibrant Performance. Dino says they're making 8-10HP. Just a thought....

Skunk2 for me!

Think it has something to do with the manual stating that the car requires premium gas. So if your premium is 91...then good for you. Other places it higher, which will burn cleaner and more thoroughly. Down here, it's 93. I won't touch anything else. High compression needs higher octane to prevent knocking. Back to Marvie's original question...

I'd say just swap back to the evo2 that you had. You can hack and chop and mix and match all you want, but you know the old combo sounded good. So git-r-dun! Quick and easy.
