TWM Short Shifter + Bushing Installed

hey guys,

this is my first post and i wanted to thank u guys for all the helpful advice. i thought i would do my part and tell u guys about the TWM Short Shifter and Shifter Base Bushings i installed last night. (2006 Civic Si)

Install
the install was pretty rough for me, but i was in a rush to go on a date haha so i wasnt giving as much attention then i should have. first, i dropped the blue cap into the console, even though i HAD something to block it from dropping, so be very careful with that. then while removing the rubber shifter base bushings, i dropped 1 of the 3 into the console as well. installation of the short shifter is pretty simple and straightforward... but the shifter base bushings were kinda tricky. there r 3 bushings, 1 at top and 2 at the bottom. at first i couldnt figure out a good way to place in the bushings and screw them all in without dropping 1 or the other. so what i ended up doing was... i placed in the bottom right bushing and screwed the bolt into it just to hold it in place, then i did the same with the bottom left bushing. i didnt screw in all the way, just enough to hold them in place and give me enough slack to put the other bushings in. then the last top bushing i did the same. i tightened them all up, put the shifter back together and started my baby up.

FEEL
i love the short shifter. it feels great. at first while sitting in the car and running through the gears... i thoguht i didnt feel much of a difference. but when i took her out to drive, i could feel a difference. nice crisp short shifts, no grinding of gears, feels very solid. i love shifting from 2nd to 3rd now. well worth the money/time/effort put in.

well i hope this helps some of u guys out! here are some of the things i have done and will do to my car.

Funny.. I had the same logic but it didn't work out for me. I was going to try and get that bottom right one in and just start the threading to hold it in place but ended up dropping it into the console.

Wow. 3 installs and we all dropped the bushings! Obviously it's easier said than done.
