Borla Vs Magnaflow

I need some advice of both muffler brands, because here in Spain is so difficult to hear it...

I want to build a homemade single exhaust (european is dual) but I don't know wich muffler gives better sound and performance.

I think Borla XR-1 will be the best choice but I'm not sure...

why are you going to single? and are you going to cover up the other exhaust outlet in the bumper?

Go with Magnaflow imo. Borlas sound kinda funny on anything smaller than a 3.0 V6.

Either way, it'll be a good decision.

You won't get much feedback on any Borlas, because very few people have the axle back installed, and even fewer with the cat-back.

Magnaflow and Borla are both very reputable exhaust companies, so a decision wont really be makeable based on brand. They both sound very similiar. The design is similiar(canister with 2.25" straight thru), the materials used is similiar, therefore the price is similiar too. Performance will more then likely be the same too.

Just pick one. You wont be disappointed with either.

Also- both materials use a strange alloy in the manufacturing that gradually changes the color of the piping as you use it. Mine has turned into a purple/gold. Very beautiful. But not really noticeable from anywhere but under the car.

I have the borla system on my car, it's using 3" piping instead of 2.25 and it's also supercharged but I've been through 5 exhaust systems and in terms of drone, drivability and wot sound absolutely nothing comes close to the borla system. it's deep aggressive and non raspy.

Yes, please post pics. Looking into going this route but with 2.25. I imagine it will look something like this; offset center.
