Question Metal Shifter Bushings

I just ordered the metal shifter bushings for my Si in hopes of tightening up the shifts. I dont have the Comptech SS and don't plan on gettting it, so how do you all think the metal shifter bushings will affect the feel of shifting?

Where did you get them at? I have wanted these because I had them on my 7thgen and loved every minute of them.

You can get them from Corsport here: http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...oducts_id=1110
I don't know what it will feel like. I'm curious if it's really worth it. I think the short shifter is money well spent though... IMO...

How do the shifts feel with the bushings? I read some reviews on the ones for the 06 Si and they had positive feedback. They say it makes the shifts more firm and is less play in the shifter cable.

I'm all for less play in the shift cable, and better feel.... Shit I already have a Skunk2 knob, Comptech SS, and new leather shift boot.... I might as well get those bushings too!!!!

I've read a buch of threads on clubsi and TOV by people who have them and they seem happy. By replacing the OEM rubber bushings with the metal ones, it should tighten the shifter up noticably.

In my case,I think the stock shifts are short enough, so I'm not getting a SS. I hate how sloppy and vague the cable shifter feels though. I just might order a set of those bushings once more people have tried them. I don't like being a guiney pig with my new car.

I have the complete oposite of the skunk2 knob. The skunk2 knob is weighted, I bought the buddyclub racing spec type A knob, which is lighter than a golf ball and it looks really cool. It look like a cue ball, white, and ball shaped, one of the main reasons I got that knob is because my si is white and I wanted the knob to match the color of my car.

I feel the same way, i think the stock shifts are short enough thats why im not buying the comptech ss. The metal bushings are only $30 and the shipping is free from corsportusa.com

My car isn't white it wouldn't look good in a FBP Si...
On anoter note, I might get a really light weight knob too just to figure out what setup I like the best.

The feel of your shifter will be much more "sporty and tight." This is usually one of the first things I look for when I get a new car or I'm helping a friend modify something new. You gotta love cheap little items like this that actually make a noticeable improvement in the car

Check out Corsport and see if they have them listed. I do plan on getting this mod soon. I am guessing that it is a fairly easy mod?
