cleaned out my K&n typhoon filter

I just cleaned out my K&n typhoon air filter. I followed the cleaning instructions that came with my intake. I bought the K&n recharger kit to clean it out. After I install the filter back on to the tube, I just let the car sit for an hour or so. So after about an hour, I start my S.i. up and start driving around. I notice there is a bit of vibration in my gas and brake pedals when i use them. Has anyone who has a K&n typhoon intake on their fg encountered this? Right now, i'm gona let the car sit overnight and try it again in the morning.

nothing really to worry about.

ill say it again, Oiled filters are not the best for our car. Oil is not good if a bit hits that MAF sensor

i've had my typhoon intake for about a year now. I installed it myself. Never had any problems since then. The only issue i might of had was maybe when i took off i would hear a slight metal vibration coming from the engine bay. But when my friends are around sometimes, I would drive past them, they would tell me my intake sounds good. I'll probably loosen a few of the bolts and re-adjust the kit and see what happens then.

my friend used a K&n oiled filter, and when he took it off to replace his intake he found oil building up in his throttle body which is probably why i would never use a K&N

His problem is because the intake is not properly positioned and has nothing to do with the K&N oil.

His intake is physically rubbing the brake lines by the fluid reservoir and is transmitting that vibration to the pedals. He needs to adjust the intake tube position is all.

Also, oiled filters function just fine with our car and all MAF equipped cars. The trouble is, people often OVER-OIL them and potentially gum up their sensors. When re-oiled properly, they work just fine.
