Parts / mods that void warranty

Hey, can some of you experienced people list the mods and parts that may void warranty on a 2007 Si (yes I'm making sure I won't jump the gun here and order parts that will kill my warranty)

Thanks!!

ALREADY GONE OVER DO SEARCH! No bolt ons will void your car's warranty it is just that the will not cover the part replaced. I.E. You replace your exhaust they wont cover it. You Replace your intake with a CAI they wont cover your intake. Now if they are asses they would try and say that your exhaust or CAI caused that problem, however it is a federal law that the manufactuter must honor their warranty. They can simply void your warranty because a part was changed.

For americans there is a federal act regarding this subject. It is called the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/warranty.htm.

I'm sure that the Canadian government may have something similar, you may need to ask around in your forums to see who may have experience or info regarding it.

Thanks I am so going to need that. The dealership has already tried to blame lots of things on my AM stereo. They like doing that kind of thing to me.

We may have to just keep a copy of that in the cars.

If anything, don't mod until your warranty runs out. It's a major hassle if your dealership and you get into this argument over that kind of stuff.

Very hard for me to do at the least. I don't keep any stock vehicle stock for long. lol. IHE is the first mod I always do. hmmmmm maybe I won't get that Honda Plus warranty for those 2 extra years.

What are they trying to blame? In order for them to cancel coverage to a specific part or system, what ever is broken has to be proven to have been caused by the specific item. i.e. a crappy AM stereo install screwing up your stock speakers, amp. But that hasn't stopped dealerships from trying or cancelling it anyway. A true problem will cancel that part of your warranty, though. You will carry the rest of your coverage on other parts of your vehicle not related to the initial issue. What the Act protects you from is that they cannot completely void your entire warranty. It's a tricky subject but that's why there are so many lawyers in the world.

Damn! Pages and pages of stuff!!!

Dealers are funny, they try to blame anything and everything they can on the end user so that they don't have to do any work after the sale is completed.

You see, this will be my first time buying a NEW car ever, at the age of 28, so I hope I don't have any horror stories to report afterwards. This dealership is only a year old, very state of the art, drive thru service (large fry with that?), and the owner seems nice as well. She owns a brand new S2000, Accord Hybrid, and new Pilot. Beeotch.
